What was the highlight of Kuretake Inn Premium Tajimi Ekimae
I would gladly stay again.
The facilities were sparkling clean. The location couldn't be beat. And, despite it being in such a busy area, it was quiet and comfortable. I also liked the arrangement of the rooms. The free drink in the lobby was also quite good.
The breakfast was a little lackluster and the dining space was quite tight.

Nice and functional - fits the bill
Great location, nice extras like a relaxation room and public bath on the top floor. Its location is great, right next to the train station, and the breakfast is solid. I always like the fact that they incentivise skipping room cleaning by giving you a free drink if you don't have your room cleaned. All in all it's a good hotel that is nice and functional (but nothing fancy or design-led).
It's very functional, so don't expect beautiful details. A lot of plastic for everything as always in Japan, literally everything is individually wrapped, including q-tips, shower gels and shampoos, plastic bottles, the whole lot.
